This is a question that I get asked quite often. Usually followed by: Can’t I just book everything online myself? Yes you can. However, there are a number of ways that a Disney Travel Advisor can be invaluable.
- You will save a ton of time! While some people enjoy the planning (everyone here at Heyday Travel does), most people would prefer to have someone else do the heavy lifting. That is precisely where we come in. Rather than you having to learn how to navigate and use all of the various systems, we’ll guide you through them. We already know and have experience with:
- How and when to book your FastPass+.
- How far in advance you may make your dining reservations.
- Which restaurants have character meals (and which ones are in the highest demand)
- Know the differences between the Disney Dining Plan.
- What king of Park Ticket you should buy.
- How to get you from the airport to your hotel and eventually back.
- How to rent a stroller or electric scooter (and arrange delivery/pick-up).
- Plus lots more…
- Single point of contact. You don’t have to book everything online, Disney Reservation will happily help you over the phone. However, you’ll almost never speak to the same person twice. Every time you call you’ll have to go through the process of verifying your identity to ask a question or make a small change. Using an advisor, you have a direct line to the same person every time. You can build a rapport with them and before you realize it, they’ll likely be anticipating your wants and needs.
- Expert knowledge. We know your destination inside and out. Whatever kind of trip you’re looking for we will help you navigate the 2 Water Parks, 4 Theme Parks, 28 hotels, over 300 places to get food, and 27,258 acres (42.5 sq miles) of Walt Disney World to build the best trip suited for your desires.
- What not to do. Perhaps some of the most important guidance I can give is what to avoid. From which rides someone with motion sickness may want to avoid and which ones might be ok; to which rides you need a FastPass and which it’s not necessary (there are more than you might think).
- In case of an Emergency. Unfortunately there are times that things are less than extraordinary and magical. When a hurricane is expected to hit Florida, the Disney phone lines quickly back up for hours with people looking to change or cancel reservations. Wouldn’t it be nice to get through to someone that knows you with little wait and be reassured that everything will be taken care of?
- College of Knowledge. To be an authorized advisor you have to complete courses through Disney’s College of Knowledge. Not only are there initial courses that you have to complete but also update courses that are rolled out as systems change and new areas are introduced.
- Direct Experience. Beyond the classroom, many of us routinely travel to the destinations and are experiencing everything first hand. That is how I can tell you that Magic Express luggage arrives at least 3 hours after you land, even if you arrived at 10pm… I always suggest grabbing your luggage at the carousel and taking it on the Magic Express with you if you’re getting in late.
- Retroactive Discounts. Your advisor will be monitoring new offers as Disney releases them. If a discount comes out after you’ve booked your vacation, and you would have qualified for the discount, they can typically apply it for you. Of course, you can do this yourself as well. You just have to be watching for the discounts and then call the Reservation line to get it applied.
- All of this – at no cost to you. We are compensated by Disney after your trip, so there is no fee for you. Why not utilize our experience and passion at no cost?
