STAR WARS: GALAXY’S EDGE – ADVENTURE AWAITS Freeform will give viewers an exciting behind-the-scenes look at the new lands at Walt Disney World Resort in Florida and Disneyland Resort in Southern California with a two-hour special, “Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge – Adventure Awaits,” premiering SUNDAY, SEPT. 29, at 8 p.m. EDT. Hosted by Neil Patrick Harris, the immersive and exclusive television event will allow audiences to explore the epic new lands and learn more about how this new planet of Batuu came to life. With celebrity guests including Kaley Cuoco, Keegan-Michael Key, Jay Leno, Sarah Hyland, Miles Brown and more, Walt Disney Imagineers and Disney Cast Members share how they helped bring Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge to life with fascinating insider details.
According to Deadline, “In the special, viewers will get to explore the new lands and learn more about how the new planet of Batuu came to life. Harris meets up with Key for some laughs in Oga’s Cantina and takes a tour of Batuu. Hyland learns about the tensions between the First Order and the Resistance and creates her own droid at the Droid Depot. Leno explores Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run, inside and out, and Cuoco takes a special sneak peek inside the upcoming attraction, Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance. Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge – Adventure Awaits is executive produced by Brad Lachman.”

All month long the channel will air your favorite Disney live-action and animation, Pixar and Marvel titles, ending the marathon with an exclusive exploration of the latest Disney theme park land, Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge.

Each week, Monday through Friday is given a programming theme, followed by a weekend packed with more Disney film favorites.
Here are the themes:
- Villains Week: Sept. 2 – 6, featuring flicks such as Maleficent, Beauty and the Beast (1991) and The Lion King (1994).
- Pirates: Sept. 9 – 13, featuring films from the Pirates of the Caribbean series
- Singalong Week: Sept. 16 – 20, features sing-along movies such as The Princess and the Frog, High School Musical and Newsies: The Broadway Musical with on-screen lyrics
- Sheroes: Sept. 23 – 37, features flicks with strong female leads such as Moana and Zootopia
