Flame Tree Barbecue is easily one of my, and my family’s, favorite places to eat. During our last trip, we made a conscious effort not to eat there so we could enjoy some of the other amazing offerings at Animal Kingdom! Now, fortunately, we don’t have to wait to enjoy those tastes again soon. Thank you to D23 for sharing a home-sized portion recipe for this great BBQ sauce.
Flame Tree Barbecue Sauce
Makes 1 cup
1 cup ketchup
1/4 cup rice wine vinegar
2 tablespoons molasses
1 tablespoon chili powder
1 tablespoon paprika
1 teaspoon ground turmeric
1 teaspoon ground cumin
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
1/2 teaspoon ground cloves
2 teaspoons onion powder
2/3 cup water
1/4 cup packed light brown sugar
1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
1/2 teaspoon salt
1. Combine all ingredients in a 2-quart saucepan over medium heat. Bring to a simmer, reduce the heat to low, and cook for 25 minutes, stirring frequently.
2. Use BBQ immediately or store in the refrigerator for up to two weeks.
